Come celebrate some of the many inspiring women in Goldsboro's history this Sat. from 10am-6pm Did you know that the Goldsboro woman's club created the city's first public library? That they worked closely with the USO in 2 different war efforts? That they started the longest running charity in our city's history?That they raised the funds for and built the gorgeous facility that is now the Wayne County Museum? Come learn more about them and the legacy of this club that began in 1889. We will have 2 speakers for the opening event: local author Mrs. Emily Weil at noon and costumer Ms. Aeris Carter at 12:30 they will explore the role and fashions of women in the Revolutionary War. The exhibit runs through June 30th.
